Small meals - does that mean snacks…?!! I have such a problem with snacking! My biggest downfall is chocolate! The only way for me to get rid of the cravings is stick to a very low carb diet, and small meals are part of that. Thanks for the tip, Mark.

Hi, Debbie, it’s good to hear from you! Yes small meals does mean snacks. Snacks and small meals are synonymous. I assume that snacking in and of itself is not your problem, but that what you eat for your snack is. It’s every bit as important to plan out your smaller meals or snacks as the slightly larger meals. I say slightly larger as it’s best to keep portions as even in size as practical. Some, of course, will be reasonably larger than others, and that’s fine. Refer to my Fat Loss Guidelines as they should be applied across the board in all of your meal planning.
Chocolate doesn’t need to be a downfall if handled with a little discipline in moderation. Make it as dark and pure as you can get it in order to benefit from the antioxidants and avoid added sugar and saturated fat.
A lot of people who are not highly active do alright on a low carb diet. So, stick with that if this is you and that works for you. Let me know if you’d like help with adjustments.
